Wie Apple mitteilt, wurden über den Download-Shop iTunes mittlerweile über 300 Mio. Songs heruntergeladen. Apple behauptet damit weiter unangefochten seine Spitzenposition unter den Online-Musikanbietern. Zudem verbuchte der Musikshop vor kurzem einen Charts-Erfolg: Die Tsunami-Benefiz-Single "All Around The World", die exklusiv über iTunes angeboten wird, debütierte auf Platz 22 der Billboard Singles Charts und ist damit der bislang erfolgreichste, ausschließlich in digitaler Form erhältliche Song.
