"Nu Cool" war Hed Kandi erste Veröffentlichung 1998, damals noch via Jazz FM, entwickelte sich das Hed Kandi Brandmark rasch und wurde schnell zum Garant für anspruchsvolle House Compilations mit dem bestimmten Twist. 2005 zählt Hed Kandi zu den bekanntesten Compilation Labels weltweit. Zurück zu ihren Wurzeln geht es mit "The Nu Cool 2006" eigentlich nur was den Titel betrifft.
