italo disco weekend in Gbg, Schweden, Mai 12-13

Gothenburg's united italodisco-heads invite you to an

ITALO WEEKEND

in Gothenburg, Sweden, May 12-13th 2006

Not many people release new italo disco records these days, but this

weekend we invite you to not only one, but TWO release parties for new

italo releases coming from the city of Gothenburg! (Beat that,

Stockholm!)

On Friday 12th, Sally Shapiro's debut maxi-single "I'll be by your

side" is celebrated with a DJ set by her producer Johan Agebjörn on

Club Disco Maniac, Gothenburg's own italo disco club that now opens its

doors for the fourth time. Signed copies of the 12" will be available

for sale. Club Disco Maniac this evening also has a guest DJ called DJ

Megat who is probably Gothenburg's no. 1 italo vinyl collector. The

club's resident DJs Baby Boy and Lady of Ize will of course appear

behind the decks as well. (Entrance fee: 50 SEK)

On Saturday 13th, Disco Digitale's debut CD "Computer dreams" is

celebrated with a release party on the club Synthklubben, where they

will perform tracks from the album live! Another groups called "My

Observer" will also play live on the club. Some kind of contest will

also take place. (Entrance fee: 80 SEK - and the first 100 visitors get

a free CD!)

For those who don't sleep all Saturday, we will take all interested

people to a guided tour through Gothenburg's many second-hand record

shops, where you can find all those hard-to-find Beat Box italo

releases for bargain prices! Just get in touch with us if you're
