Roberto Zanetti's neues Album ist fertig.

Es heißt TEN YEARS AGO und beinhaltet unter anderem den Titel THE EYES OF THE MOON, der wahrscheinlich auch als Single kommt.

Das Album ist eigentlich zum größten Teil alt und Ende der 80er konzipiert, aber nie veröffentlicht worden.

Das Album besteht also aus alten Titeln, unveröffentlichten Songs, neuen Remixen und zwei ganz neuen Hits.

Das Album TEN YEARS AGO wurde mit Hilfe von KLUB80 Records ( Polen ) mitkonzipiert.

Das sagt ROBERTO ZANETTI:

"At the end of the 80's I noticed that synth pop music had become more pop and light. There were more and more live instruments and less electronic sound used. My music at that time was also slightly different from that typical early 80's sound. I was actually intending to release a couple of 7" singles for a pop-market - something different from what I was doing for Disco Magic so far which was mainly producing 12" disco remixes for DJs.

Finally, I had some songs recorded and then brought them to Baby Records - a label being a world succes with lots of pop music. We signed a contract but in fact the record company kept me waiting for 6 months only to inform me that they... stop the business and I'm free to go... Before that happened, a few singles had been released. But when the whole album material was finally ready, I found it not very up-to-date; in fact, after 6 months after recording it was already too late to release it in its initial shape. I then put the whole idea away and decided to release a couple of brand-new singles.

At the end of 1989 I was very busy producing and composing for other artists, so I decided to hold my solo career for a while. That's why that new album was eventually never released, however some songs from it you can find on my Greatest Hits."
