Noch in diesem Jahr sollen für das BIOS die Lichter ausgehen. Zumindestens wenn es nach dem Willen von Intel und Microsoft geht.

Zurzeit arbeiten Microsoft und Intel an 'Extensible Firmware Interface', kurz EFI, welches das BIOS ablösen soll.

EFI soll nach Aussagen beider Konzerne einfacher zu bedienen sein. Weiterhin soll es mit EFI möglich sein, den 'Boot-Prozess' wesentlich schneller durchzuführen

Finde das BIOS ist zu anfällig, langsam, benutzerunfreundlich... :muahaha: *g*

Aber noch wichtiger wäre SP2 für XP oder gleich ein neues SICHERES System "Longhorn" ist ja in Arbeit.... :rockdahouse:

die werden doch sicher noch andere gründe haben warum sie das bios ablösen wollen... doch nicht nur wegen der egschwindkigkeit etc...

wie war das mit TCPA?
