Nachdem Paramount mit "Wie werde ich ihn los - in 10 Tagen? " über 100 Mio. Dollar einspielte, plant das Studio ein Sequel der Romantikkomödie. Es optionierte die Rechte an "How to Tell He's Not the One in 10 Days" von Michele Alexander und Jeannie Long, die bereits die Buchvorlage für das Original lieferten. Lynda Obst und Christine Peters sollen den Stoff wieder produzieren und hoffen, Kate Hudson und Matthew McConaughey wieder als Hauptdarsteller zu gewinnen. In Deutschland hatte "Wie werde ich ihn los" 1,5 Mio. Besucher in den Kinos amüsert.
