User, die mit der Software Realplayer und Realone arbeiten, sollten unbedingt ein Sicherheits-Update machen. Denn eine Sicherheitslücke ermöglicht es 'Hackern' Zugriff auf lückenhafte Systeme zu bewerkstelligen.

Durch einen Begrenzungsfehler in der Bibliothek DUNZIP.dll ist es möglich, durch veränderte Skin-Dateien einen so genannten Pufferüberlauf zu erzeugen. Wenn dieser erfolgreich war, können bösartige Codes ausgeführt werden.

Die Sicherheitslücke kommt in folgenden Versionen vor: Realplayer 10.5 (vor build 6.0.12.1056), Realplayer 10 und Realone Player (v1 und v2.).
