something went wrong with the mastering for "Laboratorio 2".

 

I always noticed it sounded a bit weird, especially in the bass department when you compared some of the tracks that were also released on EPs, singles and such.

 

I figured out why: Somehow the bass frequencies are "lagging behind" the rest of the track, resulting in phase shifting going on in the bass. Mostly below 200hz.

 

Here's a spectral view of "Luce" from the "Movimenti Incoerenti" WEB release compared to Laboratorio 2:

 

This is also visible on the synth waveform at the start. It's more or less a clear sawtooth wave on the EP, it is quite obscured by the bass phase-shifting on LAB2:

 

I tried fixing LAB2 in software, but it doesn't really work as this shift seems to be gradual and does not happen at a specific frequency point.
