"If it's Halloween, it must be Saw!" Getreu dem neuen, einschlägigen Motto der scheinbar zur Endlos-Serie mutierten Horror-Reihe "Saw" hat 'Lionsgate' nun den US-Kinostart des nunmehr 4. Sequels festgelegt, wie 'Bloody Disgusting' derzeit berichtet. Demnach soll Saw 5 ab dem 24. Oktober 2008 in den US-Lichtspielhäusern zu sehen sein. Erstmals seit dem Wechsel von James Wan zu Darren Lynn Bousman gibt es bei Saw 5 einen Wechsel auf dem Regie-Stuhl, da der bisherige Produktionsdesigner und Second-Unit-Regisseur David Hackl den Film wie auch seinen bereits geplanten Nachfolger inszenieren wird. Marcus Dunstan und Patrick Melton, die Drehbuchautoren von "Saw 4", werden auch beim fünften Teil wieder die Feder schwingen. Die Produktion soll im Frühjahr nächsten Jahres beginnen, mehr Infos gibt es bislang leider nicht. GTA IV on 220 million pixels Some amazing gaming is being done down at UC San Diego, with the guys there re-engineering their massive HIPerSpace monitor array to play GTA IV. This system has 220 million pixels and is attached to a "graphics super cluster" that relies on eighty NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 GPUs. 220 million pixels is roughly equivalent to a 20480×10800 display, a hundred times bigger than the highest-resolution screens we have these days, and 200 times bigger than hi-definition 1080p. It doesn't look like they're utilising anything more than 1080p whilst playing GTA IV, and the black gaps between monitors is annoying, but it still looks awesome.
