It was removed from all stores many years ago. Pretty much at the point when Gigis NoiseMaker label ended. Perhaps you could ask ZYX for a potential CD release (as was originally planned in 2009) :P

yeah the second version I believe. At least that's what ZYX told folks. that was back in 2009 though. I distinctively remember his expression of distain for the label on Casa Dag.

Then ZYX wouldn't release them. Gigi is not keen on ZYX as a label. He has made comments about how he has "no control over what kind of crap they decide to put out". I think he posted something along that when "L'Amour Toujours 2012" came out. Or was it back during "The Essential" ? I forgot.

The original CD2 is 1:19:46! Let's see wich track they will grant the special "ZYX Edit" treatment this time... #TheFinalCountdown Of course they could easily move "Movimento Quotidiano (F.M.)" to CD1, because that CD is only 1:15:45 and would end up at 1:19:02 this way... ...but this is ZYX we are talking about. I wonder if this some "publishing rights extension" scheme they are pulling. It's weird they are NOW issuing these kinda obscure re-releases. And Gigi did mention a few years back he was trying to regain control over his back-catalog... that could also explain some of the weird name changes. (Luce -> Starlight, Lo Sbaglio -> Mistake, Malinconia -> Madness)

Heute bekommen. Wie zu erwarten haben Sie leider die ZYX CD von 2004 als Quelle genommen. Dynamik hat die Pressung quasi 0. Man hört gerade bei Beatlastigeren tracks (z.B. On Eagle's Wings) ständig den Kompressor eingreifen. Einzig positiv zu erwähnen ist, dass die Pressung recht rausch/störgeräusch arm ist. NEXT

vor allem hätte es doch Sinn ergeben einfach das monotone outro des Tracks wegzuschneiden. Selbst ich skippe den Track ab da beim hören. Der Track fadet ja vorher (bis auf ein leichtes Netzbrummen) aus. Und CD2 ist auch knapp über 1std19min lang. Das hätte man damit bereits unterschritten... aber nein, lieber mitten im Hauptteil ausfaden... geniale Idee ZYX!

WTF! "The Final Countdown" ist eine extrem gekürzte Version! Ganz billig ein und ausgefadet. 2:32 lang. Konnten Sie etwa bei ZYX keine CD mit 1:19:37 länge pressen!? Ich bekomme da in 5min Arbeit einen besseren "edit" hin. Au weia...

Hier der Beweis, dass die "neue" Some Experiments anders gemastert ist. Die meisten Tracks sind einfach etwas lauter/komprimierter. Aber es scheint auch andere Unterschiede zu geben. Wie z.B. bei "Gigi's Love" zu sehen. NoiseMaker CD 2006: ZYX CD 2024: Klanglich klingt die 2024 CD bei dem track weniger "präzise". Höhenreduziert. Hingegen ist die ZYX CD bei " Con Te Partiro' " die höhenbetontere. Sehr kurios. Bei der "Suono Libero" gab es damals ähnliche Unterschiede (manche Tracks einfach lauter, andere klanglich anders. Besonders deutlich bei "Inventi")

Hier hat man sich tatsächlich Mühe gegeben. Sogar die CDs sind wieder bedruckt! Anscheinend hatte man hier noch das komplette Quellmaterial. Außer, dass die ZYX CD nicht in einem Super Jewel Case kommt steht Sie dem Original optisch quasi in Nichts nach. Das Mastering ist allerdings anders! Also so langsam verstehe ich den Laden von ZYX wirklich nicht mehr. Solche nicht-komerziellen" Compilations auf CD (einem heute leider bald ausgestorbenen Format) können sich teilweise wie hier echt sehen lassen... ...aber die 4x LP zum 20. Jährigen Jubiläum eines Albums wird einfach dahingerotzt... Lustig aber, dass die CD nach wie vor die mittlerweile nicht mehr existenten Noise Maker und Media Records Labels nennt. Inkl. toter Webadresse für letzteres. Schade, dass man nicht "versehentlich" die verworfene erste Tracklist von 2005 auf die Discs gebracht hat...
